5 a seco was created for 4 presentations in a small theater, but it worked out so well that two years later they recorded a cd and a dvd in 3 crowded shows in auditório ibirapuera.
we started from the idea of 5 a seco as a musical display almost in its rough form, anti-spectacular. we created an object that hides the colored photos of concerts and shows an almost hermetic outside – just text and one black and white image of the 5 in front of the open door of niemeyer's auditorium.
we thought of the black rectangle over the almost white surface as a direct reference to the auditorium's façade.Â
the object that in fact was a paper blade that, when folded and tied by a rubber band, acted like a booklet.
here, the central pages, where you can see the 4 sides that are hidden by the rubber band.Â
here, pages 7 and 8, with the cd. Â
only with both sides open it's possible to see pictures of the concert.
