the identity of this production house stems from two problems presented by the partners:
1. the production house is called ‘irmãos’ (brothers, masculine), but is formed by a man and a woman, and has the female universe as one of its themes.
2. since they are young producers, the identity should manifest a concern with the use of resources.
remembering this poem by augusto the campos, we thought that an interesting path would be to reveal the feminine 'irmã' (sister) inside the collective 'irmãos'.
we made this by highlighting the 'ã", and highlighting it in such a way that the emphasis and the tilde frame the 'a', placing it before the camera.
the ultra-condensed font is a reference to movie posters, which commonly use this kind of font.
regarding point 2 (economical use of resources), we proposed printing a single piece that might be used as business cards, letter paper and cd/dvd envelopes.
an a2 sheet of paper is printed in high grammature to generate 55 business cards, but the same sheet in low grammature is cut into 4 sheets of letter paper.
the black logos become the headlines in the letter papers, and the text is printed over the yellow logos.
the letter paper has a specific way to be folded in order to be used as an cd/dvd.
starting from the stationery, we also designed a digital presentation and a simples institutional website.
