bamboo 2 was an issue on art, and the cover, a typographic composition done by us using a piece by fábio miguez.
the interesting thing about this cover is that, by assuming such a different structure from first issue, we proposed the challenge to, from that moment on, to make all covers different from one another. we started trying to make in each cover a structure that related to the issues' content.
this story on the venice biennale, in which the typography takes over the composition, ended up becoming the forerunner of a series of highly typographic layouts, which weren't intended until then.
the cover for bamboo 3 went back to a composition using several images, like on issue 1.
we could only refine the composition a little, further defining the full and empties.
