a press kit is used to sell advertising space. it presents the publication, its circulation, formats and prices.
to replace the second version (the poster we had made the previous year), they asked us to come up with something simpler and more direct.
we maintained the closed format of the magazine, but this time with only a single fold.
each page was divided into three columns, in total covering all twelve months of the year. as each month’s issue has a corresponding color, we used these colors (in fact, cymk approximations to the pantone hues) in the column headers.
the grey of the annual (january and february double issue) takes up the first two squares.
The correspondence between colors and months becomes more evident on the back cover, which carries the colors, themes and dates of each issue.
